The short story is that I fell in love with a girl 4000+ miles away and by God’s grace we’re now getting ready for our wedding.

The longer version is that I met Tariana in 2021 and we naturally clicked. I got to know the real Tariana, (the girl that thinks of others before herself, the soft spoken, funny yet a little quirky Tariana). Very quickly we became inseparable, long FaceTimes became the norm & later down the line, the long flights to see each other.

Once we’d reached a point where there were feelings, I asked her if she had she been praying about a life’s companion & she gave a resounding “yes I have” (which I too had been praying). We decided to involve both our parents, and everything went to plan. The next step was to literally take a leap of faith & take an 8 hour flight where her dad was waiting to pick me up from the airport (scary!). Apparently our meeting went well because he gave me the approval to continue dating his daughter so the official relationship begun. Since this point, we have grown from strength to strength by God’s grace.

What I’ve found in you is a character of gold. You’re God-fearing, you’re loving, you’re kind and compassionate, and the most beautiful girl in the world.

There’s really no better feeling than getting to marry your best friend. It’s seamless, kinda like it was always meant to be! My fav thing about you is that you feel like home to me. You’ve always felt like home.

So what I’m trying to say is that I can’t wait to marry you & spend the rest of my life with you T. By the help of God I’m going to be the best friend, best husband and best father to our children until the day the Lord takes us home.
